30 Days Abs: The Results!

A month ago I posted the 30 day ab challenge with my before photos! If you missed them here you go!!

As a former athlete, I loved having written down what I needed to do. I added a couple exercises to amp up the difficulty a little. I HIGHLY recommend this challenge to anyone who is willing to try it! It was fun! Here are my after photos!

I've been trying to lead a healthier lifestyle. I've started new supplements that have made me feel like a new woman, mentally and physically! I think in a post or two I will have to talk about them. I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer so far! Did you try the ab challenge? What did you think?

Nina Dobrev Inspired Makeup

Not going to lie, I am a HUGE Vampire Diaries fan. I Instagrammed two photos a couple weeks ago asking which Nina makeup look you guys wanted to see. You chose this one!

I absolutely love this makeup! It is easy, summer appropriate, and fun. It has super glowy skin, soft brown eyes, and the prettiest cheek highlight! I am a sucker for a cheek highlight! Clearly, Nina and I have COMPLETELY different skin tones so the makeup will look different on my skin. Here is how i interpreted it!

Products Used:

Face
1. Loreal True Match Lumi Foundation
2. MAC Pro Long Wear Concealer
3. Rimmell Stay Matte Powder to set my T-Zone
4. MAC Blush in Pinch o Peach
5. MAC eye shadow in phloof used as my cheek highlight
Eyes
1. MAC eye shadow in Cork on my lids and crease
2. MAC eye shadow in Mylar on my brow bone
3. Urban Decay eyeliner in Demolition on lower and upper lash lines
4. Maybelline Falsies Mascara
Lips
1. MAC lipstick in Hot Gossip

This look was SO easy to do! I encourage anyone to try it who has colors similar to these!

Hope everyone has had a fantastic summer so far! The ab challenge is officially over, so my results will be my next blog post. WOOT!

5 Minute Face!

Being a mom, I don't have time to always put a full 15 minute face of makeup on. There are days when I am running errands and need to be "wham bam thank you maam with my makeup"! Here is how you can achieve this fuss free five minute face! Its so simple!!

Eyes: I always start with my eye makeup first in case I have fallout from my eye shadows. When I am doing a super quick look and something natural I always use my Naked Basics pallet from Urban Decay.

Apply Foxy to your brow bone, Venus to the lid, and Naked 2 to the crease. That's it for shadow!!! After this, I lined my bottom lash and outer corner with NYX slide on eyeliner in Brown Perfection and then used L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara.

Face: Apply your favorite foundation and blend out with your fingers. I used L'Oreal True Match Foundation. Apply your concealer (MAC Prolongwear) and then powder your T-Zone (Rimmel Stay Matte). On days I am in a hurry I skip bronzer and contouring. Then apply blush, I used MAC blush in Pinch o Peach. Then with a fan brush apply a highlighter to the high planes of your face, lightly. This means your cheekbones, bridge of your nose, and cupids bow. This way you can still achieve a sheen to your skin without wearing a glowy foundation. Since I have oily skin, I prefer matte foundations and then adding my own highlight.

Lips: MY FAVORITE! This is my favorite lipstick of all time. It is my holy grail color and I think every woman should own this color. It is MAC's Hot Gossip.

It may seem like a lot of products but I promise it takes no time at all once you get the hang of it. What does your 5 minute face include!? Tell me!
Hope everyone has had a fantastic week so far! We are finally flying to Reno, NV to see my husband Friday and I get to see 2 of my favorite people while I am there as well. I couldn't be more excited. I am also hosting a Doterra Essential Oils event tomorrow. I am loving everything that oils have done for my family. They broke my sons 102 fever yesterday and I am simply amazed. If you would ever like more information about them please email me! baileypendley@gmail.com

Kisses from Ryder and I!!! xo

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Review

This foundation has been on the market for over a year now but after hearing great reviews from other bloggers and Youtubers I had to pick it up. I needed to try it for myself and see if it was worth the hype. I found my foundation at Walmart for around ten dollars. This is where it is the cheapest. It can get up to 13.99 at places like CVS or Walgreens.  I matched myself to the shade medium beige.  I am the shade NW 25 in Mac Cosmetics for reference.
Here is what Revlon claims: Finally, truly decadent makeup offers decadent performance.  The mousse like texture feels like silk on your skin. And, the time release formula balances skin for a flawless look.  All day flexible wear without flaking, caking, or feeling heavy.

Lets see if I agree Revlon!

Bare Faced

You can apply this foundation with brushes or your fingers. My two favorite brushes are the Sigma F84 (can be found at http://www.sigmabeauty.com/Sigma_Angled_Top_Synthetic_Kabuki_F84_p/f84.htm) or the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush (can be found at Ulta or http://search.ulta.com/search?p=Q&asug=real+techniq&userid=Guest&w=real+techniques+expert+face+brush).  I use these two brushes to apply all of my foundations. However, after playing with this foundation for a week i preferred dotting it all over my face and using my fingers to blend it in.

One layer of the foundation gave me great medium coverage which is what I typically wear. You could still see my freckles on my cheeks but I like my skin to still look like my skin.

Two layers of the foundation gave me definite full coverage. It didnt feel cakey which was great. If you are someone who wants that extra coverage, it will definitely give it to you!  My freckles were completely covered along with my redness and discoloration under my eyes. I needed no concealer on my face after.

After my foundation I just set my T-zone with Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder since i tend to get oily there. I did not powder the rest of my face besides blush and bronzer.

I have to be honest. I LOVED THIS FOUNDATION. So lets break it down!

Pros
1. Wore all day long. I even felt like it looked better throughout the day
2. Controlled my oil beautifully
3. Had a natural finish even though it was full coverage
4. It photographed really well, probably because there is no SPF
5. Applied really easy and I was happy it went on best with my fingers.
6. Who doesn't love a drugstore foundation that performs like high end?!
7. Love that it built up to full coverage but went medium coverage first layer.

Cons
1. The price is high for drugstore but I'll take it, it's a great product.
2. It has a slight smell that I didn't particularly like, but it didn't irritate me.
3. I do not like that it comes in a glass bottle. It makes it hard to travel with. I am afraid I will break it.
4. I think if you have overly dry skin this foundation may not be the best for you.

Round of applause Revlon, nicely done!

Have you guys tried it? What are your thoughts!? I would love to hear!! Hope everyone has been having an excellent summer so far!
